Building a robust product requires many or several stress test levels. These stress levels are applied sequentially for periods of equal duration. During each period a stated stress test is applied and the stress level is raised in equal increments from one step to the next. The process is repeated until all components or PCWA of the sample fail.

HIGHLY ACCELERATED LIFE TEST (HALT), AND HIGHLY ACCELERATED STRESS SCREENING (HASS) are supporting guidelines for engineers, to design their test parameters which combines vibration test, with hot and cold temperatures simultaneously.
